Eating Myself

Montreal, 2010 - Performance - Presented at the Chat des Artistes.

"Eating My Self: Maître Jean-Pierre Mott's" is a performance where I eat my own transubstantiation made from croissant found in Germany branded "Maître Jean-Pierre" and a tomato juice found in Canada branded "Mott's". Thus during my performance I ate my own self portrait: Maître Jean-Pierre Mott's. The project is a play on Christian's theology and nottably the transubstantiation of Jesus where his body is bread and wine. This performance is a nod to Bruce Nauman's work titled Eating my Words - Performance footage by: Abraham Lifshitz
