Raincoat of Sorrow

2014, Installation, Projection - Vinyl Cloth, Electronic; Presented at Wallach Art Gallery curated by Deborah Cullen and also shown Praxis Art Center with introduction text by Julien Champagne - and during the Columbia MFA Open Studio.

The raincoat of sorrow is a project that is based on the idea of a garment that light up when activated by water. The installation is the embodiment of a shamanistic apparition in which the wearer becomes an extension of the spectators thirst for drama. A dramatic situation will reward the viewer by illuminating the raincoat.
