Franconia Sculpture Park, 2022 - Installation - Biodegradable paper; Presented at the Franconia Sculpture Park during a 2 months art residency.
Part of a research aiming at producing a series of ephemeral sculptures made of paper with embedded flower seeds as a maquette for future ephemeral outdoor works. As the work is ephemeral and will disseminate through the land with time; it will change its shapes and become flowers as the seeds fall off the ephemeral sculpture takes root in the soil. I wish to create ephemeral monuments that embed themselves onto the land by using seeds of plants from the local flora mixed with biodegradable paper and cardboard.
This project was presented during the 4Ground Midwest Land art Biennale curated by Ginger Shulick Porcella
